Weekend adventures

While the 'boys' were fishing in Montana, the 'girls' went to Mystic, CT with the kids (Foster, Pierce, Molly, and Teddy). Betsy was sweet enough to fly in and out of philly so that I'd have someone to help me tame the kids during the 5 hour drive! Much fun was had at the Mystic Seaport and the Aquarium.

To continue our adventurous outings, Chris and I took Molly and Foz to NYC on the train last weekend to visit Micaela, Nathan, and Eliza before they move abroad for 8 months. Foster loved the train...Molly was a bit tougher to contain. Now that she is walking, that is all she wants to do! This coming weekend we are off to the ADKS for more vacation. Can't wait!

Liz Night!

This blog is about the kids, but I had to share pics from my night AWAY from the kids. First one in a long time (at least since Molly was born). Betsy is in town in prep for our trip to Mystic this weekend, so I took advantage of Chris having help and had a night to myself at the Bridgeton Inn, about 50 minutes north of Yardley on the river. The most beautiful, peaceful B & B I have ever stayed in! I picked up wine and sushi on the way up and enjoyed it on my screened in porch overlooking the river. After a great night's sleep I had a refreshing morning swim and breakfast on the porch again. Into work a little late, but it was worth it. Thanks Chris and Betsy for making it happen!!

Fun in the Sun

We had a wonderful time in Boston this weekend. In celebration of Mom's 5-year (6 now) cancer-free milestone, we took her on a surprise sail out of Gloucester with her siblings, children, and some grandchildren. We finally got to meet our new nephew Ben! It was a beautiful day and a huge surprise for Mimi/Mom. We had booked the cruise last fall, but Hurricane Irene arrived the same weekend. It was hard to keep the secret for so long, but totally worth it. We also got to celebrate Teddy's first birthday with the Morrises at their adorable, incredible caterpillar party for him. Laura is way talented in party planning and I think I will have to hire her for Foster and Molly's birthdays next year. Also a few random pics of the kids before the trip to Boston.
"I'm not tired Mommy, I don't need a nap!!!!" I beg to differ.

I've heard Quinoa, chick peas, and tomato paste are good for the complexion
