Mixed bag

A random selection of pics this week. The first is of Foster and his favorite cat, Romano, who likes to say good morning to Foster as soon as we open the door. He can be a very annoying cat to us (i.e scratches rugs, tries to wake us up at 4am, etc), but he is extremely patient with Foster and puts up with almost anything Foster does to him.

We planned go to the local Grange Fair this weekend, but when we hit a wall of traffic merely trying to park for the event, we aborted the plan and found a nearby plant nursery that also had a carousel and train to ride for Foster. It was a good find, not too far from home. The train ride took him (and dad) to see llamas, goats, emus, and pigs. Molly and I waited at the "station" for them to return.

Molly had her 2 month appointment this week and she is in the 90th percentile for height and weight. She has a very strong head turn to the right which has caused her head and right ear to be a bit misshapen and the doctor thought her neck muscles might be getting a bit tight on the left. So she'll start some early intervention PT to try to encourage her to turn left more!

Last but not least, I surprised Chris will Phillies tickets for our anniversary yesterday and we enjoying a gorgeous night and great seats at the game. We brought Molly, unsure of how she would handle it, and she slept the entire time (despite our seats being directly under a speaker) in the sling and didn't wake up until 2am at home after being transferred from sling to car to bed.

ADK birthday celebration

We've definitely been spoiled this summer with trips up to the Adirondacks. Luckily the kids have traveled well in the car (as well as a 2-year old can) and this past trip didn't involve major traffic woes. We had a super week with the Little clan in celebration of Roy's birthday. Pierce and Foster entertained each other and Teddy and Molly didn't have to work hard to look cute together. Despite tight sleeping arrangements (thanks for sleeping on the couch Drew) and young babies, the nights were relatively restfull! Molly and I slept in the tent one night...she slept like a log, but the crickets, loons, and owls kept me up! I guess I can't complain about being too close to wildlife...
My maternity leave is flying by and I can't believe I have to return to work after Labor Day. Molly is growing up too fast already! Foster continues to be a great big brother and is very gentle with her.

The Naked Chef

We've posted pictures before of Foster helping us cook/bake, but I had to get a video of the little chef. These days he does less kneading and more eating, but he still loves making dough. He is also a bit obsessed with nakedness...himself and others. Some days he refuses to keep his clothes on. Luckily we can keep on the diaper (although this resulted in a diaper full of flour)...for now!

We're off to the ADKs again this week for a Little family celebration of Roy's 65th. Happy Birthday Pops!

Molly has started smiling (not gas related)...it's awesome! Sorry for the slightly blurry photo from my phone.
