Happy 2nd Birthday!

We have been celebrating Foster's birthday for almost a month now! We had a very early celebration with Mimi and Elmo cupcakes, another celebration last weekend with Nana and Pops, and this past weekend Chris and I took him out to dinner after smothering him with birthday love all weekend. I don't know why we waited until the end of the meal to get ice cream...he liked it much better than the veggie maki rolls and shrimp tempura. He loves his new presents, especially those that give him more opportunities to play outside! The last two pictures are added to illustrate how big he has gotten...just look at the change in his hands. Amazing.

Fun with Nana and Pops

The best thing about bedrest has been having lots of family visiting! Foster got to spend last week with Nana, and Pops joined us over the weekend. It was a beautiful week of weather and Foster spent lots of time outside in his sandbox, taking care of his garden, trying out his new bike seat, playing at the playground, feeding the ducklings, and many walks! We had an early birthday celebration too, but I'll post those pictures in the next entry. I got officially released from bedrest and went back to work this week. Hopefully we have another 5 weeks before the little lady arrives!

Fun with Mimi

Foster and Mimi have had a ton of fun together this week, the highlight/obsession being alligator-duck races through the house. He ONLY wants Mimi to do it with him so I think he's going to be pretty disappointed when she is gone! This week Foster also had fun making pizza dough with dad, digging in the garden, celebrating an early birthday with an Elmo cupcake from Mimi, and many bubble baths with Mimi (three nights in a row...he's gotten spoiled!). Foster has also developed an obsession with his new bright green Crocs (note last picture). We may never get socks on him again. We've been very grateful for Mimi's help with laundry, chauffeuring, shopping, cleaning, babysitting, cooking, cat herding, and keeping me (Liz) from going insane. Pregnancy wise, things have quieted down for now and hopefully I'll be back to normal activity in a week and a half (34 weeks).
