Truckin'

Foster has suddenly developed an interest in walking with his Radio Flyer wagon from Aunt Laura and Uncle Halsey. We've also gotten reports from daycare that he's taking more risks while trying to walk (i.e throwing himself between objects). Here's a little video to show his progress. In the house, the wagon is a bit too fast for him, but in the thick grass, it's perfect! I also included a clip of him squeezing a ball...very entertaining for all involved. In the past 24 hours, we've heard a strong and clear "dada" and "duck". Those "D" words are finally developing!

Random shots

Here are some random pics from the last week. First, Foster showing off his cute smile and teeth to Mimi...look at those chompers! Foster is very entertaining these days and a bundle of laughs. This week, his new trick is sticking his finger up his nose and then blowing bubbles out of his mouth (I think mimicking using the nasal aspirator). He has a few words, the most popular being mama, bubble, and pop. We've also heard less frequently: meow meow, woof woof, dada, bye bye, and ball. He seems to be able to stand up without assistance, as long as he doesn't realize it...once he realizes he isn't leaning up against something, he plops down and crawls.

No, Foster isn't anywhere close to being potty trained, but we are keeping it close so we can plop him on there whenever he starts grunting and turning red in the face. Maybe he'll get the point eventually! Dad is teaching him how to kill some time while on the potty.

This picture is actually even more pathetic than it looks...Foster had a fever (we didn't know it yet) and we were making him look like Rambo. He looks pretty upset with us...for good reason.

I haven't posted pictures of Cinco in a while. He is growing fast also! He has finally learned a few more house manners and is getting along with the cats most of the time. He does like to lick and lean against Foster, so we still don't them them play together much. As soon as Foster is steadier on his feet, I'm sure he'll get his revenge on being knocked over by Cinco.

Hot baby!

We just got back from a great trip to California to attend Spencer and Shon's wedding. Foster had a great time with Mimi (I'll get some pictures from her from the week), although they cooked with the 100+ temperatures. They cooled off with trips to the grocery store and mall, playing in the water table, and playtime in the AC'd bedrooms. It's been a scorcher this summer...hopefully it will let up in July/August. It's sad when a 90 degree day feels pleasant! Thanks so much to Mimi for holding down the fort, taking care of a sick baby, dealing with the heat, and taking care of the three cats.

We finally assembled my graduation present to Chris, a nice big hammock. Foster loves it, as do we! Here he is copying daddy...
