Welcome William Carter Mills!

http://williamcartermills.blogspot.com/

My brother Will and wife Erika welcomed a baby boy at 12:36am Friday morning. Foster is pretty darn excited to have another cousin so close in age. Can't wait to meet Carter at Christmas!

Best smile yet!

Foster smiles a lot, but it's so hard to capture with the camera because he becomes entranced with the camera as soon as you hold it up. This one was captured on video and this is the still picture, so sorry it's a little fuzzy.

Six months old!!

It's hard to believe this 18 pound Buddha belly started out at 4 lbs 6 oz six months ago. He's a very happy kid, and dare I say it....easy. For now. Size-wise, he's caught up a lot and is in the 50% percentile for a normal 6th month old baby. Developmentally, he's more like a 4-5 month old...his corrected age. That is to be expected and we think he's perfect no matter what. His cousin Pierce is visiting this week, so maybe Pierce can teach Foster to roll over!
Foster has discovered his "scream" this week. It's a bit ear-piercing, but he loves hearing his own voice. Watch the big finish!!!

Friends and toys

Foster has been working really hard at sitting up and occasionally has moments (i.e. seconds) of balance. Look at that concentration!
We went to Baltimore this past weekend to catch up with some Williams friends at Britta's house. It was great to see everyone and watch the kids interact. Foster was just coming down with his first cold, so hopefully Hayden (2) and Beatrice (9 mos) stay healthy this week!
Foster also got to spend some quality time with Reema on Friday. He isn't smiling here, but he loved seeing her!
We just tried Foster in an activity bouncy chair-thingy (I have no idea what to call it). He really seemed to love it...as demonstrated in the below video.

Randomness

Foster is starting to enjoy the rice cereal feedings (once a day), I think mostly because he loves chewing on the spoon. He has become obsessed with chewing on his fingers, but we think he is too young (3 mos corrected) to be teething?? Perhaps it's just the novelty of finding his fingers.
