Clueless baby versus happy cat

This is probably why so many people get rid of their animals once a baby arrives. Foster didn't seem to mind Waylon's loving pats....so hopefully we can all just get along with some supervision! (Waylon's nails are very short).

13 weeks

This chunker put on 4 pounds in the past month. He is now 12 lbs 8 ozs!! If you use his corrected age, he is in the 90th percentile for weight and height (23 inches) but 20th percentile for a 13 week baby.

Phils 4 Mets 1

Whether he likes it or not, Foster is becoming a Phillies fan like his parents. Hopefully they can go all the way again for him this year! Foster was lucky enough to see an unassisted triple play in his lifetime.

Wow has it been persistently hot this week! I even went to the dreaded mall just to find a cool place for Foster and I to walk around. He doesn't seem to mind the heat, but it takes its toll on the rest of us. Nana and Pops (Chris's parents) were visiting this week and graciously put up with our lack of central air. I think the humidity is a reminder of why they moved from Philadelphia to Northern California years ago! Luckily we have window units in the bedrooms to offer some relief. We are SO looking forward to some cooler days ahead....

A fluke?

I won't get my hopes up, but this little guy slept 7 hours last night!! I kept on checking on him to make sure he was still breathing after 5 hours. I think he was so well rested he had the energy to flip from his tummy to his back (see video).

More Cousins!

Foster, Chris and I are very excited to welcome Pierce Jackson Morris to the family. He was born to Laura (Chris's sister) and Halsey at 5:41 pm yesterday. Mom, Dad, and baby are happy, healthy and catching up on sleep. Foster is thrilled to have a boy cousin his age to romp around with!

We had a great week in the Adirondacks with my family. The weather was spectacular, lending to much swimming, kayaking, fishing, and relaxing. We look forward to next summer when Foster will be able to be a little more active with us! It was tempting to take him in the kayaks with us, but we didn't have a life jacket small enough for him. He got to spend some quality time with the extended family and it was a huge help to have so many extra hands around.

Cousin Karen and her son Shea.

PaPa and Foster cat napping.

Aunt Erika and Uncle Will...with a cousin for Foster on the way! They are already pros.

Foster in the Adirondacks

Foster helped me try to catch a carp off the dock...no luck.

Teddy B and Foster asleep on the beach.

Ready for the big one.
